DJW Express is a logistics broker, based in New Orleans, LA...Yeah, we didn't know what that was either. But after taking a deep dive into the business model with the owner during our discovery call, and conducting market research to identify the major players in the space and what they were doing to acquire and retain customers through their website, we had a better idea of the components needed to give DJW a brand identity and website design on par, if not better than the competition.
For the logo, we wanted to introduce a brand mark that was modern and easily identifiable, that also worked well as a 1-color design. The owner chose Antique Gold and Black and her primary colors.
We worked on two mockups for the founder and ultimately agreed on a sleek, dark themed design with lots of motion. Some of the components and optimizations are listed below:
